Bueno Queeneros, a pesar de que los abandoné por un tiempito (por razones de estudio y sin tiempo) he de decir que he vuelto al mundo bloggero ! y esta vez no son diseños -.- , son letras de queen que quizás mas de uno las conoce y se las tiene bien aprendida, pero yo quiero dejarlas por dos razones: 1- porque quiero que el blog quede bastante completo

2-porque algunos quizás no las tenga ! ;D

Bohemian Rhapsody: nueva interpretacion

Hola gente que pasea por el blog, hace un tiempo -no muy largo- lei un articulo sobre dicha obra maestra, los invito a leer esta interesante reflexion. Todos sabemos la historia sobre su creacion, materializacion y posterior lanzamiento, y todo el fenomeno que genero desde entonces hasta nuestros dias. sabemos que Freddie ideo y realizo la cancion, sabemos las dificultades que tuvieron que afrontar, tambien los de las cintas pegadas con cinta adhesiva, sabemos lo de los estudios separados, entre otras muchas cosas. Pero poco sabemos sobre su significado, es mas; hasta podria decirse que lo ignoramos casi totalmente, sin embargo no es vital captar su significado todo. Creo yo, que es fundamental poder interpretar cada parte y que cada uno de nosotros -ustedes- le asignen el sentido que prefieran, ya que segurola cancion mueve en cada uno de los queenero emociones similares y a la vez diferentes (emociones contradictorias, quien no sino Queen para provocarlas). Bueno, ahora les presento a dos "musicologas" Sheila Whiteley y Judith Peirano que, segun su analisis, revelan que Freddie se preparaba para asumir expresamente su homosexualidad; lo que llevo a estas señoras a concluir esto son algunas frases, segun ellas reveladoras: Judith Peirano dijo que "Mercury intentó [...] [que esta canción] fuera una suerte de ópera, algo fuera de las normas de las canciones de rock y sigue la lógica operística: coros de muchas voces alternados con solos similares a arias, las emociones son excesivas y la trama, confusa"; por su parte Sheila Whiteley sugiere que Mercury había llegado a un punto de inflexión en su vida personal en 1975. Había estado viviendo con Mary Austin durante siete años, pero en aquel año había tenido su primera pareja homosexual. La interpretación de Whiteley es que la canción refleja el estado emocional del pianista en ese tiempo: "[Estaba] viviendo con Mary ('Mama', 'madre' como la llamaba, otra prueba de esto la encontramos en Mother love) y quería dejarla (Mama Mia let me go)". En el posterior desarrollo de la cancion ambas mujeres identifican las fuerzas en pugna que sufre Mercury en su interior, en la balada: Peirano sugiere que la canción es un "melodrama del erotismo masculino", aunque a diferencia de Whiteley, no se basa en detalles biográficos de su compositor. Peirano da una lectura basada en el complejo de edipo, citando partes de la letra con connotaciones sexuales ("Too late, my time has come/Sends shivers down my spine/Body's aching all the time"). Como Whiteley, Peirano identifica estos versos como culpa y deseo: (textual) "Para muchos adolescentes que escuchen esta canción, estas frases pueden describir las sensaciones físicas del despertar sexual y las emociones conflictivas que lo acompañen. Si dicho despertar está orientado a la homosexualidad, será más grande la culpa y la necesidad de confesarlo"

Mas adelante continuan con la seccion de rock: Peirano escribe que tras el juicio en la parte operística, "el héroe se vuelve desafiante y sale victorioso de la ópera como un rebelde". La crítica Sheila Whiteley piensa que esta sección es una declaración de la necesidad de abrazar la vida homosexual, de dejar a Mary Austin para poder vivir con otro hombre y sentirse más libre.
